A nostalgic and easy recipe for cinnamon bread that fills your home with a delightful aroma, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan to ensure easy bread removal.
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients in a large bowl, mixing together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl, whisking together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the wet and dry ingredients in a single bowl, stirring just until combined.
  5. Create the cinnamon sugar mixture by combining brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Build the layers by pouring half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkling half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, then layering the remaining batter and topping with the rest of the cinnamon mix.
  7. Swirl the batter gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool the loaf for a few minutes in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
