Quick Sourdough Discard Biscuits

Delightful biscuits that make great use of sourdough discard, fluffy and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the sourdough discard, melted butter, and milk to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
  5. Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a round cutter.
  6. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve your biscuits warm with butter or your favorite jam.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for 3 months. Reheat in the oven.
