A light and refreshing summer dessert that combines layers of cake, creamy vanilla pudding, and vibrant mixed berries.

Ingredients

  • Angel food cake or pound cake, cubed
  • Vanilla pudding
  • Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Whipped cream
  • Optional: Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Layer the cake in a trifle bowl or large glass dish, spreading half of the cubed cake evenly on the bottom.
  2. Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the cake, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  3. Add a layer of mixed berries over the pudding, mixing colors for a visual feast.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, and berries, arranging them for the best appearance.
  5. Top with a generous layer of whipped cream, piping it on for a fancy touch or spooning it over.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to enhance the flavors and set the layers.
