A delightful rum punch that captures the essence of summer with vibrant flavors and colorful presentation, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) dark rum
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) coconut rum
  • 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice
  • 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) grenadine
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh pineapple chunks (for garnish)
  • Orange slices (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill Your Pitcher: Place your pitcher or punch bowl in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Squeeze the Limes: Freshly squeeze about 3-4 limes to obtain 1/4 cup (60 ml) of lime juice.
  3. Pour the Rums: In a chilled pitcher, pour in 1 cup (240 ml) of dark rum followed by 1/2 cup (120 ml) of coconut rum.
  4. Add the Juices: Add 2 cups (480 ml) of pineapple juice and 1 cup (240 ml) of orange juice and stir gently.
  5. Sweeten It Up: Add 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of grenadine and optional 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of simple syrup, then stir again.
  6. Lime Juice Action: Pour in freshly squeezed lime juice, taste, and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  7. Ice it Up: Fill the pitcher halfway with ice cubes.
  8. Garnish: Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks and orange slices.
  9. Serve: Serve immediately over ice and enjoy!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours (ice may dilute flavor over time).
