Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or a mix)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking, optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients and place them on your kitchen counter.
  2. Combine the ground meat, ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the meatballs in the hot skillet for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides and cooked through.
  6. Transfer the meatballs to a serving platter and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with fresh herbs, if desired.

Notes

Taste the mixture before rolling into meatballs to adjust seasoning as needed. Avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
