Ingredients

  • Bread (e.g., baguette or sourdough)
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Strawberries
  • Honey
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for the delicious roasting process.
  2. Slice the strawberries and toss them with a drizzle of honey and a splash of olive oil. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet.
  3. Roast the strawberries in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until they soften and release their natural juices.
  4. Toast the bread slices until they’re golden and crispy.
  5. Combine the ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  6. Spread the whipped ricotta generously on each slice of the toasted bread.
  7. Top the whipped ricotta with the warm roasted strawberries and drizzle with honey. Add balsamic glaze if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

This toast pairs beautifully with iced tea or Prosecco. Store leftovers in airtight containers separately; ricotta lasts for 3 days and strawberries for 2 days.
