Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup onion gravy
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties roughly ½-inch thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Remove the patties and set aside on a plate.
  6. Add more onions to the skillet and cook until caramelized.
  7. Pour in the beef broth and onion gravy, stirring to combine.
  8. Simmer gently for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
  9. Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and let them simmer for about 10 minutes.
  10. Serve warm with creamy mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
