Delicious shredded beef sliders that are perfect for gatherings, featuring tender beef in savory broth, nestled in soft, toasted buns.

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil
  • Chuck Roast (2–2½ pounds)
  • Salt (1–1½ teaspoons)
  • Black Pepper (¼–½ teaspoon)
  • Garlic Powder (¼ teaspoon)
  • Onion Powder (¼ teaspoon)
  • Beef Broth (1½–2 cups)
  • Slider Buns (18)
  • Cheese Slices (3–4 slices, optional)
  • Butter (1 tablespoon, melted)
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning (½ teaspoon, optional)
  • Coleslaw (1 cup)
  • Barbecue Sauce
  • Pickle Chips or Spears

Instructions

  1. Trim and season the chuck roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Allow resting for 15 minutes.
  2. Brown the beef in a skillet with olive oil on medium-high heat for about 8 minutes.
  3. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker, add beef broth, bring to boil, then reduce to simmer. Cook on low for 2½ to 3 hours.
  4. Remove the beef, let rest, and then shred with two forks.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  6. Slice slider buns in half and load with shredded beef; add cheese if desired.
  7. Brush tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if using.
  8. Bake for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Top sliders with coleslaw and serve warm with barbecue sauce and pickles.

Notes

For the best flavor, allow the beef to rest after cooking. You can prepare the beef a day ahead for deeper flavors.
