A comforting slow cooker dish featuring chicken and fluffy dumplings in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, carrots, peas, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, tear the biscuit dough into pieces and add to the slow cooker.
  5. Recover and continue cooking until the biscuits are done.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider adding celery or potatoes. Check chicken doneness before serving.
