Comforting slow cooker pulled pork that is flavorful and versatile, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the pork shoulder generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin, then place it on top of the onions.
  3. Pour the chicken broth and barbecue sauce over the pork.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the pork is tender.
  5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker, shred it using two forks, and mix it back into the sauce.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze pulled pork for up to 3 months.
