Deliciously soft and fluffy homemade burger buns that are easy to make in a small batch, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the dry ingredients together
  2. Combine wet ingredients
  3. Knead the dough
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it up, and let it rise for 1 hour
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C)
  6. Divide the dough into small balls and shape them into buns
  7. Place the shaped buns on a baking sheet, cover them, and let rise for another 20-30 minutes
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a glossy finish (optional)
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
