A delightful fusion of classic burgers and tacos, these Smash Burger Tacos offer gourmet flavors in a fun, hand-held format.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Taco seasoning
  • Taco shells
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Tomato, diced
  • Onion, diced
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Take your ground beef and form it into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, sprinkling each one with taco seasoning.
  3. Once your skillet is hot, place the beef balls onto it and smash each ball down to form a patty. Cook for about 3 minutes until browned, then flip to desired doneness.
  4. Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  5. Warm your taco shells according to package instructions.
  6. Assemble by placing a burger patty in each taco shell and topping with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and fresh.

Notes

For a fun twist, try different toppings like avocado or jalapeños. Make your own taco seasoning for a unique flavor.
