A family favorite recipe for tender, smoky ribs that are bursting with flavors, perfect for any barbecue gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup dry rub (paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • Wood chips for smoking (hickory or applewood)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. Rub the ribs with olive oil.
  4. Apply the dry rub generously on both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place the seasoned ribs into the smoker and add soaked wood chips.
  6. Smoke for about 5-6 hours until the internal temperature hits 190°F (88°C).
  7. Brush BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  8. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Always soak your wood chips for at least 30 minutes before smoking. Don’t rush the smoking process; patience is key.
