  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • For icing:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and maple syrup in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the bars cool in the pan before icing them.
  8. Mix the icing ingredients until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bars.
