  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sprinkles or colored sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually fold into the wet ingredients.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls, placing them on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Gently flatten the tops and sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are light golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
