A delightful mashup of Korean and American comfort foods featuring savory bulgogi, crunchy kimchi, and melted provolone cheese in a soft hoagie roll.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef bulgogi
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  3. Next, add the beef bulgogi to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped kimchi and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Place the provolone cheese on top and cover to melt, about 2 minutes.
  6. Spoon the mixture into hoagie rolls and serve.
