Juicy flank steak marinated in zesty spices, paired with sautéed bell peppers and onions, all wrapped in warm tortillas. Perfect for sharing with loved ones!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • Tortillas
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak. In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add steak and coat well, letting it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Sear the marinated steak in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
  3. Sauté the sliced bell pepper and onion in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until softened and caramelized.
  4. Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips.
  5. Assemble the fajitas by warming tortillas and allowing each person to build their own with steak, sautéed veggies, and desired toppings.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating overnight. This recipe is customizable with various veggies and proteins.
