Transform the humble cauliflower into a glorious dish with sticky honey garlic sauce, perfect for gatherings or a quiet night in.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the cauliflower florets in olive oil on the baking sheet. Spread in a single layer.
  3. Roast the cauliflower for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Simmer the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan. Heat until it simmers.
  5. Coat the roasted cauliflower with the warm honey garlic sauce and toss gently. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Pairs beautifully with rice or quinoa. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
