Delightful Strawberry Kiss Cookies with a luscious strawberry center and a rich chocolate kiss topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • Chocolate kisses (or any chocolate candies for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the flour, cornstarch, and salt to the mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls and coat each one in powdered sugar.
  5. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press a thumbprint in the center of each cookie.
  6. Fill each thumbprint with about 1/2 teaspoon of strawberry jam.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Immediately after removing from the oven, place a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while they are still warm.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
