A delicious and hearty pasta dish combining ground turkey with diced tomatoes, perfect for a comforting family meal.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces pasta (any type)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. When al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until browned.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Toss in the cooked pasta, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated with the turkey-tomato mixture.
  6. Transfer to serving plates and top with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Feel free to add extra veggies or experiment with different cheeses.
