A hearty and flavorful twist on classic meatloaf, infused with Korean BBQ elements for a perfect blend of sweetness and spice.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds and green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, milk, egg, gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add ketchup evenly on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Rest the meatloaf for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in chopped scallions or shredded carrots. For gluten-free options, replace breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives.
