A comforting and flavorful Teriyaki Chicken dish that’s perfect for family dinners.

  • 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable or avocado oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)
  • â…“ cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the cubed chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce, water, and ginger (if using).
  5. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken in the skillet, stirring gently.
  6. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot, optionally over rice or with vegetables.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer. You can use chicken thighs or tofu for variations.
