Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a bowl. Coat the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade.
  4. Cook the chicken in the skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and golden-brown.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade over the chicken and bring to a gentle simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the chicken garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For more flavor, try adding sesame oil to the marinade. If short on time, marinate for just 15 minutes for a quicker option.
