A moist and creamy cake soaked in a blend of three types of milk, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl, then set it aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the cake with a fork.
  8. Whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream until well combined.
  9. Soak the cake by pouring the milk mixture over it.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  11. Top with whipped cream and fresh fruit before serving.

Notes

Ensure the cake cools adequately before poking holes. Overnight soaking yields the best results.
