A classic Vanilla Buttercream Frosting that’s creamy, sweet, and perfect for topping cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter until creamy in a large bowl.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until combined.
  3. Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture.
  4. Beat on high until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Adjust the consistency with more cream or sugar if needed.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Whip again before using to restore consistency.
